Votes to Save is a twist that reverses the usual voting format during the Eviction Ceremony. Instead of casting votes to evict, eligible houseguests are going to vote for the eviction nominee that they want to stay in the game. It was first introduced in the third season of the Big Brother ORG.

History[]

Big Brother 3[]

Occurring together with the Double Eviction twist, houseguests were told that they need to vote for the nominee that they would like to save in Week 3. The houseguests in the nomination block were Brianna, Jenna, and Ziggy. At the Eviction Ceremony, Jenna received the most votes, which resulted in the double eviction of Brianna and Ziggy.

Big Brother 8[]

Occurring together with the Double Eviction twist, houseguests were told that they need to vote for the nominee that they would like to save in Week 2. The houseguests in the nomination block were Blaine, Keith, and Nick. At the Eviction Ceremony, Blaine received the most votes, which resulted in the double eviction of Keith and Nick.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being considered as a twist in the Big Brother ORG, votes to save is the common format of most versions of actual Big Brother shows, most notably Big Brother UK. The only difference is that the voters are the public or audience instead of the houseguests.
  • The Votes to Save twist has always been paired with the Double Eviction twist.
